What We Do
Vocal for Retailers
The primary reason for the inception of AIMRA was to voice the growing concerns of the retailers PAN-India! Our Leadership Team has been at the forefront in highlighting the malpractices against our retailers at every important platform. During the Pandemic, AIMRA tweeted and wrote a letter to the Finance Minister of India for a moratorium. To safeguard the interest of the Mainline Retailers, with the support of CAIT, we were vocal on the online & media platforms to stop the online delivery during the lockdown. We have been immensely successful in highlighting our stand & in convincing the Government officials. We have also written to the Honourable Finance Minister to stop unfair and unethical business by online portals. We are regularly sending written communications to the honourable PM, HM, FM, CIM, MSME, CCI, DPIIT, RBI, NSA etc. With an appeal to safeguard the telecom industry, AIMRA National Leaders gave a memorandum to the Smt. Nirmala Seetharam, Minister of Finance & Shri Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce & industry on a few occasions.
AIMRA is always committed to having a transparent communication channel between the Brands & Mainline retailers across the country. Following the Covid-19 protocols & regulations, we interact with Brand CEOs through online platforms. This virtual connectivity ensures that we are always connected with brands at the highest levels.
Planning & Development
Team AIMRA believes in learning and sharing and in its efforts conducted regular training effective on use of technology, understanding of new government norms be it GST, Communication etc. to keep the moral high in tough times and fight in a professional manner. While the Pandemic is a period that has left everyone stressed, the AIMRA team recently introduced a motivational series ‘Leaders Life Journey’. People from our fraternity were selected who did something extraordinary to help someone in need in Covid-19 situations. This helped to motivate and keep the AIMRA family in a positive state of mind. GST videos were prepared to educate the mainline retailers of the tax implications. As AIMRA scaled to the online world, the state units took extra initiatives to educate the retailers about the right way of using social media platforms, joining online meetings and much more. Since the use of technology plays a pivotal role in today’s business ecosystem, adequate training is the only way the retailers can attain success & fight the online market.
Initiatives and achievements
Since its inception, AIMRA aims to connect every existing and new retailer with a plethora of nationwide initiatives and campaigns. MY Own Profit – MOP was introduced that highlighted the relevance of operating prices, covering customer benefits and his own cost for long term survival. The concept of SOT – Self Organized Trade was launched at the Raipur convention educating retailers that focussed on enhancing the art of delivering the expected to the customers. Right from interacting with local authorities to the highest policymakers, our Leaders have been diligent in speaking the voice of the retailers. The ‘CHALLO DELHI’ campaign was a massive hit wherein 25k retailers participated under one roof on 8th January 2020. Raising the voice against the atrocities of online companies, we demanded a strong policy in place from the Govt of India. With over 3000 attendees, a special video titled ‘Retailers Ki Kahani’ was premiered that was appreciated by the entire mobile industry.
